What is Identfy by Izertis?

Identfy is Spain’s first Digital Wallet released under an Open Source license, designed to comply with the eIDAS2 regulation. It enables Decentralized Self-Sovereign Identity for citizens, businesses, and organizations, allowing the issuance and presentation of Verifiable Credentials. Furthermore, Identfy is interoperable with multiple blockchain ecosystems, such as EBSI, Alastria, and LACChain.

Verifiable Identification Credentials

A verifiable credential is a digital assertion issued by a trusted entity that can be cryptographically verified without relying on a third-party intermediary while sharing only the data you choose. With Identfy by Izertis, you can obtain and manage multiple credentials. In this demo, you will receive a Verifiable Identity Credential securely and privately linked to your biometric characteristics, such as facial recognition or fingerprint.

Registration and Onboarding

The first step to obtaining your verifiable credential is registration. You will need to download the mobile app on your Android or iOS device. Register via the form, after which you can log in. Your wallet and DIDs will automatically be created in the various blockchain ecosystems. The process is as follows:

Registration on Identfy by Izertis. With acceptance of terms and conditions.
Wallet creation and seed phrase. You will use it to recover your account if you lose your DID.
DID creation. You can choose the ecosystem where you want it created.

Obtaining the Identification Credential

Once the app is configured, you can obtain your verifiable identification credential. To do so, follow these steps:

Access the bioidentification tab. Access it from the side menu.
Request the identity credential via a connection to an authorized provider. You will undergo facial recognition and ID document validation.
Receive the identification credential. Once the provider has analyzed your provided information, they will issue the credential. It will automatically be sent to your mobile.
Credential consultation. Access it from your credentials list.
